Analog:

Embedded systems:
I have completed many projects using the 8051 micro-controller. A few with the AVR family, MSP430 and ARM7. The following are the projects that I have under taken in the embedded field
  • Buzzer system for 12 in a quiz competition
  • Atmospherics regulation

  • IR based remote controls
  • Metal detector
  • PWM and PPM ( primarily for Digital Servo Control ).
I have been successful in interfacing the following sensors and modules to 8051 and Arduino:

  • Servo motor ( fitful and continuous)
  • Stepper motor

Driving Assistant: Is embedded with sonar sensors in four directions (front, back, left and right) to warn the driver of approaching vehicles and potential collision situations. Also embedded with an accelerometer to warn the customer about gradients and associated safe speeds. It is also embedded withe a security system that lets you to shutdown the engine remotely, when you are alerted of a potential theft. This alert is generated when the driver starts the car and does not pass the security check. The security check is a RFID tag swipe.




Fire detection using CIE color space in matlab.

This project was implemented using the CIE color space to detect fires under brightness constancy assumption. A serial interface was used to automate a fire prevention process which involved activating sprinklers.





Solar Powered Lawn Mower:



This is a lawn mower that uses Solar energy to power itself. The system is contorlled by means of a user friendly wireless joystick remote. The charging time of the system is around 12 hours and the run time once fully charged is about 30 minutes. Its a  prototype.
